eTechies Raise $2 Million In Series A From Inventus Capital Partners

As reported earlier about their plans to close a series A round of funding, Gurgaon-based provider of online PC repair and sales services, eTechies.in has secured $2 million from Inventus Capital Partners. As part of the investment, John Dougery and Parag Dhol of Inventus Capital will join the eTechies board. Previously the company had received seed funds in 2010 from Ex-Microsoft MD, Rajan Anandan. The funds would be used to set up new centres in major metros, onboard key resources, invest in technology, and expanding their call centre.

“Key to our business model has been a passionate drive and commitment to offer the consumers & small businesses with best of the breed technical solutions, with a maniacal focus on meeting their needs around ‘quality and velocity’ of our service delivery model. The Investment from Inventus, a leading firm with a proven track-record in promoting the entrepreneurial eco-system, will further enable us to rapidly grow the service boundaries, add the right technology and attract the best talent to realize our goals. In particular, we are sure to leverage Kanwal Rekhi’s legendary experience and mentoring approach, to help us scale new heights,” says Rohit Chaudhary, Co-Founder & CEO, eTechies.in

eTechies was founded in 2010 by Rohit Chaudhary, Siddharth Bhatia, and Samarth Goyal. The team of eTechies consists of Direct Sales, Inside Sales, Technical Workforce, Software Specialists, Product and IT Consultants and adds around 25 new resources per month. They had recently launched an online repair estimator Repair-O-Meter, which furnishes the details regarding the problem and provides solutions instantly..

Parag Dhol from Inventus adds, “Rohit, Siddharth and Samarth are a team with considerable expertise in the domain and have worked alongside each other for multiple years. We look forward to working closely with the team to create a pan-India branded service/repair company for the underserved consumer/SMB segment”.

eTechies provides instant support at doorstep or remote, over the internet, with capabilities to service, support, and repair the computing devices. They feel that this service platform was unavailable to the Indian consumers & SMBs till now. “While the Consumers & SMBs so far had to rely upon the disorganized service providers offering limited tech support & without the surety of timely professional services and accurate resolution to problems; the company offers cost effective professional full suite of end-to-end service, support and repair. For SMBs, where manpower cost is a major hindrance towards setting-up efficient internal IT teams, eTechies.in steps-in to provide holistic and customized IT solutions and support. With certified trained engineers, the company attends to and helps resolve problems within stipulated enterprise class SLAs, never before experienced,” adds Chaudhary.

Inventus Capital Partners is a venture firm which has backed entrepreneurs, particularly in the businesses that leverage consumer internet and media, SaaS, mobile technology, and knowledge-based services to address a variety of attractive end markets in India.
